My Portfolio

I am currently studying Media at The Alice Smith British International School in Malaysia. I arrived in Malaysia after living in the UK for 17 years thus it has been a huge cultural shock. Over the last year I have been traveling around Asia making the most of my time here. This blog is to share clips, photography, projects and work I have done within media and on my travels. ENJOY.

AS Media trailer

When researching Teen Drama's we discovered that the ideology is produced in a method that the target audience can identify qualities of themselves in the characters. Therefore when creating our four protagonists we represented the stereotypical teenager “But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain.....and an athlete....and a basket case......a princess”. Our four characters represent these stereotypes that have been created “In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions.” ‘The Breakfast Club’ became a significant text in the development of the Teen Drama genre’. Our teen drama is a UK series which tend to be harder hitting than their USA counterparts; we have recognized through the UK series ‘skins’ that the underpinning ideology of the show is that teenage life is full of drama and conflict. Issues such as the search for identity, sex, drugs, alcohol, depression and psychological disorders form the basis of most of the shows narratives. Therefore in our trailer we have represented these issues to depict the ideologic view of teen drama.
